Certification Renewal

You can now renew CPTN Certification status online through this renewal form. You will be required to submit the appropriate documents to CPTN through mail or fax if requested for a random audit, please view our contact page for address information.

Instructions

Submit CEC petitions for non-CPTN courses or conferences prior to renewal.
Keep copies of certificates of completion from CPTN approved courses on file by year.
Complete the renewal form with the CEC petition information received from CPTN.

Note: You can use a scanner or photocopier to produce copies of the original documents. In the event of random audit, copies of all CEC documents including CPR and First Aid information will be required for submission to CPTN through mail or fax.

Additional Credits

Current CPR/AED Certification card (2 credits – no petition required)
Current First Aid Certification card (1 credit – no petition required)
Certificate of attendance at a fitness convention (up to 7 credits - petition required).
CEC petitions for other relevant courses.

Note: Non-CPTN courses must be petitioned using our CEC Petition Form (PDF, 36KB) prior to renewal. There is a processing fee of $15 per course petitioned. You require 7 CECs to renew for 1 year or 14 CECs to renew for 2 years. One hour of continuing education equals 1 CPTN CEC.
