Yoga Basic Theory and Posture Practice Workshop
Description
This Workshop will introduce you to yoga history and basic theory of pranayama and asana practice. This course will also investigate different types of yoga. Posture practice will include sun salutations and other basic poses, counter poses and meditative poses.
Pre-Requisites:
- Functional Anatomy or equivalent
Requirements:
- Yoga mat
- Pen, pencil, pencil etc...
- Lunch (or cash for lunch, there will be a 1 hour break)

Mike Chapman, CPTN-CPT, CPTN-CYS, RYT
Mike Chapman, owner and head instructor of Breathe Into Motion Yoga Studios, has studied yoga for over 28 years and taught yoga full time for the last 10 years in the Waterloo and Wellington regions. Having taught thousands of classes, Mike has developed a unique approach to yoga based on his experiences not only as a yoga instructor, but also as a personal trainer, coach, and fitness instructor. He has combined these experiences to offer the Breathe Into Motion Yoga System. Mike's credentials are also unique, holding a personal training certification (CPTN) and yoga instructor certification (Maha Pura Yoga School), as well as a CPTN yoga specialist certification and yoga. Mike has also had the good fortune to study with ashtanga yoga masters Danny Paradise, David Williams, David Swenson, Nicki Doane and Ed Modestini.
